Taco Seasoning
I’m not over the top about it but I do try to replace some of our more commonly used ingredients with home made. After trying several recipes and some tweaking, we’ve found this to be the chef’s kiss. Tacos are always a win!
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Chili Powder
4 tsp Ground Cumin
8 tsp Garlic Powder
4 tsp Onion Powder
4 tsp Dried Oregano
4 tsp Sea Salt
4 tsp Paprika
2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1-2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well to combine.
Store in an airtight container and use within 6 months. (We store ours in a wide mouth mason jar with a reusable screwtop lid in our spice cupboard).
To Make Tacos: Add 3 Tbsp of seasoning to 1 pound ground meat and a little water to add depth to the dish.
**Red Pepper Flakes option if you prefer a spicier seasoning.
**These measurements are chosen to fill a pint mason jar.
