Ham Balls

A dish that is always well received by the whole family. We like to serve these with a simple slice of buttered bread and side of fresh frozen Iowa grown corn.

Ham Balls

2.5 Lbs of Ham Loaf (Fareway)*

1.5 cups crushed saltine crackers (approx 3/4 sleeve)

3/4 cup milk

2 eggs, beaten

2/3 cup white vinegar

2 cups brown sugar

2 tsp dry mustard

2 cans tomato soup

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F

  2. Mix ham loaf, cracker crumbs, milk and egg thoroughly.

  3. Form into balls and place in a single layer on a cake pan evenly spaced.

  4. Mix vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard and tomato soup & pour over ham balls.

  5. Bake 45 min to 1 hour or until internal temp reaches 160° F.

**Optional: After fully cooked, turn on broiler for a few minutes to sear tops slightly.

Makes approximately 27 balls with large Pampered Chef scoop.

These freeze great for a later meal. Reheat on low in a covered saucepan.
