Creamy Chicken Bacon Pasta
I don’t make a ton of pasta dishes at home since they’re always a ‘can’t control yourself and overeat’ kinda meal, but tonight was a night we snuck one in.
This Creamy Chicken Bacon Pasta got rave reviews and the MAKE AGAIN APPROVAL from my boys. If you’re up for a new pasta recipe, this is a must try!
Ingredients
1 lb Bacon (cooked, drained and chopped into approx ½ inch pieces) reserve bacon grease
1 lb Chicken Breast, boneless and skinless
Salt and Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbps Butter
4 Garlic, minced
2 c Spinach
2 tsp Paprika
2 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp Pepper Shake
½ tsp Salt
2 c Whole Milk or Heavy Cream
1 c Parmesan Cheese, shredded (and more for garnish)
10-12 oz pasta, cooked according to package directions, do not rinse
Directions
Clean and paper towel dry chicken and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then set aside. Add 1-2 Tbsp bacon grease to a skillet, add chicken breasts and cook on each side on medium high heat until nicely browned. Remove chicken from pan, let rest for 5 minutes and slice.
Add butter to the hot pan and once it melts, add chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add fresh spinach and cook until it wilts.
Reduce heat and season with paprika, Italian seasoning, pepper shake and salt. Stir well.
While still cooking on reduced heat, add whole milk. Once milk is slightly simmering, slowly add Parmesan and stir on low until smooth.
Add sliced chicken, bacon and pasta. Stir until fully coated in sauce. Season with more salt if desired.
Serve with topped shredded Parmesan and pepper shake, if desired.
